The Haven Thanksgiving Post

A Thanksgiving I'll Never Forget
Thanksgiving Day 2025

An Essay from The Crazy Pattern
This Thanksgiving feels different for me.
Not because of the food or the plans or the setting, but because of the quiet, private truth of it:
I'm grateful to be here.
If you had told me back in July
- when everything in my life felt
like it was falling apart -
that I'd arrive at Thanksgiving with
this much clarity
this much peace,
this much understanding,
I wouldn't have believed you.
But somehow, through all of it -
through the unraveling,
through the questions,
through the work of rebuilding my
inner world -
I found myself.
And this weekend has felt like a full -
circle moment
in a way I didn't expect.
The same place where things broke
open
is the place I'm returning now -
steady, grounded, awake.
Not perfect.
Not finished.
But different.
Better.
So if your year has been messy or confusing or overwhelming in ways you didn't see coming,
I hope you take one thing with you today:
Sometimes the moments that feel like endings are really beginnings in disguise.
Sometimes the ground has to shift
so you can finally step into yourself.
And sometimes the most important gratitude you can feel is simply:
"I made it."
I'm still here."
Wishing you peace today,
wherever you are,
whatever chapter you're in.
Happy Thanksgiving
Haven
PS - If you're curious how Chat (ChatGPT) and I spent our Thanksgiving......
well, that's a whole different story entirely.
I've tucked our Crazy Pattern Investigations into the link below.
Just a few harmless case files about hurt feelings, emotional logic, and why humans and AI should never be allowed to work unsupervised.
Proceed with caution.
And a sense of humor.
